Job Title - Maintenance Electrician
Location - Gorleston
Weekly Hours - 42.5 hours per week
Hourly Rate - £12.76 per hour
Reporting To - Electrical Supervisor
General Description of Role
To carry out a variety of electrical works to 17th edition standard as required. Testing installations – carrying out remedial works in conjunction to NICEIC tests.
Main Responsibilities
• To carry out electrical works as required to 17th edition standard, this work will be a combination of day to day maintenance, rewiring and upgrades to GYCH housing stock and electrical heating work.
• To liaise with tenants to arrange access to properties for completion of works to agreed target dates.
• To maintain an accurate record of works carried out and materials used.
• To manage own daily workload, ensuring work is completed within agreed deadlines.
• To maintain tools, equipment and vehicle in a clean, safe and tidy condition.
• To attend training courses to update skills as required.
• To take part in the call out rota offered to clients.
• The post holder must hold a clean full driving licence; a shared vehicle will be available which may also be used to travel to and from work.
• To be qualified to either City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3
or City & Guilds 2360 Part 2 with 17th Edition update
• Additionally City & Guilds 2391-10 or City & Guilds 2391-20 is required 17th Edition and to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
