Job Description

Our client is a leading national vehicle management company and has the requirement to recruit a Site Manager for their site in Suffolk.

The Site Manager will ultimately be responsible for the operational management of the site to ensure profitability through the effective and efficient use of all available resources.

You must ensure that site processes and procedures are adhered to, identifying areas for improvement and implementing change when necessary while managing site costs and budgets to agreed targets, taking overall responsibility for financial procedures and regular reporting on KPI’s (key performance indicators). Responsible for the effective control and maintenance of all assets on site including stocks of vehicles, parts and fuels, you will also be required to ensure that all systems are fully and accurately updated. The team will look to the Site Manager for support and direction so you will be required to hold regular 1:1s and team meetings; actively managing the performance, development and training of the team to maximise capability and delivery. Your previous people and management skills will be absolutely key to the success of his role.

Exceeding company defined customer service standards, you must make certain that every customer is treated fairly and individually and dealt with in an engaging, confident and professional manner, acting as an ambassador for the company, and in accordance with health and safety and environmental policy and procedures at all times.

Candidates for this role must be forward thinking individuals, not only with the ability to plan but also react quickly to changing priorities. Commercially aware, you must have a confident approach to your work and have the ability to inspire a team to perform to their best abilities. Knowledge and / or experience within the salvage industry would be desirable but is not essential; our client requires a Site Manager with excellent verbal and written communication skills who is able to interpret statistics and financial data and has the flexibility to manage while under pressure. You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of health and safety at work rules and regulations, and environmental care.
