| A major Employer has a high profile opportunity for a Team Manager. You’ll deal with large and influential Brokers in this business critical role which will get you noticed – internally and externally. The purpose of the role is to manage the team, allocate work, ensure compliance, coach/mentor staff plus numerous other day-to-day activities and projects. The role You’ll be developing and motivating the underwriters in your team. Implementing underwriting standards for your team within agreed parameters. Identifying skill set and training needs of all the team. Reviewing/monitoring work outputs and performance. Conducting team briefings and appraisals. Skills, knowledge and behaviour We are looking for candidates with previous people management experience with a track record of delivering results and developing staff and ideally an understanding of the Commercial insurance environment but not necessarily underwriting. Also you will need to demonstrate: Motivational skills. Interpersonal/communication/sales skills. Effective time management skills. Experience of business planning and of managing and analysing data |
