Main purpose Provide technical advice and support to overseas companies in the servicing of the UK subsidiaries taking responsibility for arranging cover on programmes with particular but not sole emphasis on motor and liability class. Key responsibilities •Work as part of the team to deliver the service support required by the overseas Companies, Brokers and Clients. •Interpret, check with UK Broker/Clients, and agree local Policy requirements from overseas Company. •Accurately prepare standard local Policy wordings, endorsements, confirmation of cover/reinsurance certificates and UK compulsory insurance certificates. •Analyse and check validity of claims details obtained from different sources in order to produce standard and tailor made claims experiences for the overseas Company to enable them to make an underwriting assessment as to performance and profitability. Understand and take correct course of action in respect of queries raised by UK Broker/Clients concerning local cover, utilising appropriate communication methods to ensure efficient flow of information between team and overseas Companies. •Maintain accurate up to date records of Clients details, risk, exposure and premium information in respect of the UK subsidiaries & prepare all documentation •Respond to queries from Broker/Clients in order to maintain customer service satisfaction •Develop and maintain close communication links with all UK and overseas parties so that their needs are understood and appropriate levels of service delivered. •Attend meetings with overseas Underwriters, Brokers and Clients, to provide assistance and resolve issues. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Technical •Experience of commercial insurance in the UK. •Knowledge of technical issues and programme design of corporate, multinational, and London Market insurance accounts. •Ability to use spreadsheets to compile, manipulate and report back data. •Able to maintain properly organised files. Inter-personal •Communicate effectively with overseas Underwriters, Brokers, Client. •Work closely and effectively with team members and those in other departments. •Work on own initiative, recognise work priorities and organise time effectively. •Providing training and assistance in aspects where knowledgeable. •Self motivated and enthusiastic. |
